a wet walk
When it began raining today, Dennis looked out and seemed disappointed. Then he cocked his head to the side, considering, and asked "Mom, can we go for a walk in the rain?". I couldn't think of a single reason not to, and in fact thought it would be fun and I told him that. He said "indeed it will be" and ran off to don his raincoat and boots. We walked the driveway, stopping to admire a bird feather and splashing in the puddles. He wanted to know where the birds go in the rain, so we talked about it some and then heard some singing from a bird in a tree right next to us. I snapped a hurried pic of him strolling along under his umbrella, a small photo that looks decent enough on my phone but not so great at any size. Since his expression is so cute, I'm including it anyway.
He told me again today that we needed to make a quick run to Downtown Disney to get more Legos. I asked him why and he said "we need more white legos to make a really cool spacecraft with propellers to spin it around really fast--WHITE propellers". He doesn't seem to care about the long drive!
