nosy habits
Dennis has developed some sort of affectation with his hand always touching his nose or mouth. He insists he isn't picking his nose, and if you observe closely, you'll see that he isn't. He had a long bout with cold and allergy lately, and I think he got so used to constantly wiping his nose with his hand that he just hasn't been able to stop. His finger is constantly going into his mouth as well, and we fuss, and he says "but I'm not eating boogers". Today I told him to get his fingers out of his mouth and he said "but I'm just eating my fingernails". I had just asked David if he'd trimmed them lately because I haven't and they are short. I think we have a little nail-biter on our hands. He says he is worried about things, and the only thing I can get out of him is that he's worried about his grandfather (who died before he was even conceived). We talked about Heaven and how nobody is sick there and he asked "did they all get shots?". So I told him to pray if he was worried and sad, especially handy since his church lesson was about that tonight. He said he would. And then his hand went right back to his nose, and David told him to stop picking it. He said "I wasn't picking it--I was just measuring it". And with that, we kissed him goodnight!
