Lego fun for all

Today was another most excellent day in Orlando. We woke early to tour a timeshare, something we swore we'd never do again, because they offered us $75 in Disney bucks, enough to almost cover the cost of Dennis' ticket to the Magic Kingdom tomorrow. David and I and Gran and Pop are using our Give-a-day-get-a-day vouchers, so our tickets are all free, and now, we just have to pay a little less than $4 for Dennis to get in. As much as we dreaded the presentation, it was quick and painless, less than the 90 minutes they had told us, and no slick salesguy. Totally worth the prize!

After the tour concluded, we took a couple of paddle boats around the lake at the resort. Dennis chose a dragon boat for us, and Gran and Pop chose a swan boat. Then we grilled burgers and napped, swam, and concluded our day shopping at Downtown Disney. Dennis says his favorite part of the day (after the paddle boats) was playing at the giant Lego store. He got to assemble 3 Lego men of his choosing from the random part bins, and he also got to fill 2 cartons with tons of pieces of his choosing from a wall of bins of loose Legos. All of us enjoyed helping him choose the pieces, and he couldn't believe he got to fill his own buckets!

My favorite part of the day? Yeah, that would be getting stranded in the Ghirardelli Chocolate Shop during a big thunderstorm. Free sample! And words couldn't do justice to how great it smelled in there.

We had a late night Lego assembling party at the dining table after getting back to our room. Dennis made his 3 men have many adventures, and had the policeman take the pirate to jail, even putting the pirate in Lego handcuffs!

Today I referred to him as "little booger" and he corrected me and said "no, Booger is my penguin". And then he said to me "you are a big booger--no, you are a HUMONGOUS booger". So I'll be hitting the diet-and-exercise regimen pretty hard again when we get back!
