As I was tucking Dennis in tonight, I asked him about his day. I usually ask what his favorite part if the day was, but tonight he said "nothing". I told him I was about to go to bed myself, and he said "well, I'm staying awake because staying awake is my favorite thing to do". I leaned over to kiss him and he said "why did you kiss me?" and I told him "because you're so sweet" and he said "and cuuuuute?" in a slow drawl. I had to laugh, and to agree. Guess I told him too many times today how cute he is, but sometimes I can't help myself. He WAS really cute today, helping his Daddy load wood in the trailer, picking up tools, and helping him work on the play tower tonight. And his joy during his Jeep drive was truly something to behold. He yelled his delight as he sped down the driveway, singing "I'm a Jeep driver, yes I am" over and over. He's getting so good at maneuvering that thing, good enough to deliberately drive right up to something and stop or turn on a dime just before he hits it. I foresee a few (more) Jeep-related gray hairs!
