happy 4th 2010

Today was a little more low-key. We met up with the family and went shopping in Prattville today for a little while before returning to the lake to swim and play again. Tonight we enjoyed a very delicious homemade fried chicken dinner all together, and we enjoyed some serious campfire time once the sun set. We explained to Dennis that it was our country's birthday and that's why we were celebrating. We had planned to go into town to see the fireworks there, but Dennis decided he didn't want to do that. I left him at the lake with everyone while I went to fetch David from work, and we returned to another marsmallow roast and some random firework displays around the lake. We enjoyed the last big family evening together before everyone leaves for their homes. It was an absolutely perfect summer holiday weekend!
