Dennis and I arrived at the lake in time to see Julia, Steve, and Monte off to Tennessee, and then we lunched and swam for hours! Just when I had decided to heed Dennis' begging to go back inside (my idea was for him to nap whereas his idea involved playing), Laura and Mary Beth came over to join us swimming, and Dennis happily played in the lake for another hour! They jumped in and did tricks and got a big water cannon battle started where the kids were shooting at the adults. We had great fun for quite a while before we made them get out (bribing with homemade ice cream helped a little).
Dennis took a long nap, I sat alone with my computer, and the others took the boat out on a cruise. David joined us for supper and we enjoyed our last bit of visiting with Gigi before she heads home tomorrow. We sure did have perfect weather and perfect fun!
This morning, Dennis told me "don't open the door and smash my feet, Mommy. My feet are special from Jesus!". I agree.
