We were hanging out at Gran's house when she asked Dennis what type of batteries they needed (she had asked him to remember that she needed "C" batteries). We were both surprised when he said "umm... ocean batteries!". It took us both a second to realize that he'd heard "sea" batteries instead of "C" batteries. Pretty smart way to remember, I think, and oh-so-cute when he said it! We assured him that he was correct--the ocean and the sea are the same (and if someone is thinking of correcting me here, remember that he's 3 and for his purposes they are the same thing).
I went in his room to see if he was ready to start bedtime preparations. I was very surprised when I was greeted by a vampire! He loves his dress-up box, for sure, but I'm fairly certain I put that vampire costume away in his closet for next Halloween. He must have retrieved it to add to his collection of daily wear costumes.
