Apparently Dennis perfected the art of casting today. He spent the afternoon with Gran and Gigi at the lake and did some real fishing. I heard he even had a few nibbles on his line! Look out, fish! When I got there, he ordered all of us onto the pontoon boat and took us on a pretend ride to "Camp Mitchell Island". He was the captain and warned us not ti sit in the driver's seat. Gigi and I provided boat noises when he cued us and stopped when we were told to. Then he held the door and ushered us off the vessel. As we thanked him for the cruise, he said "my pleasure!". He loves time at the lake, and this was a beautiful day to spend by the water.
It looks like soccer will actually be a reality for Dennis. We're signing him up and hoping for Monday practices and Saturday games. I love that it's a short season but lets him have real team sport experience. He won't have his first game for a month, but he's already inviting people to come and watch him play.
