Mr. Trainer

Today Dennis was feeling SO much better. And it's like he saved all his energy from his sick days and used that excess energy to get into all kinds of mischief! He ran around like a madman at the church this afternoon, refusing to come to me when I called until I threatened to leave him there. My arms were full of the church library books he wanted, so I couldn't just scoop him up and go. He continued his Festival of Wildness when we got home, tearing around the house and climbing up everything. He worked out for a number of minutes on our elliptical machine, telling us we needed to get up and work out too. He said "it's my job to work out on this Ee-wiptical machine and to make you work out, too."

He's picked up a new phrase or two lately, and it tickles me to hear him reply to me when I tell him he needs to eat more of his dinner. He says "No, thank you, Mommy, I have had plenty." He also says "fortunately" often and uses it in the correct context.

Dennis met the preschool director today at the church, and she brought us a scholarship form to fill out for him. Maybe it will work out that he'll get to go this fall!
