ready to rock
I was unprepared for Ghetto Dennis, who made his appearance for the first time today. He stood before me with his ballcap on backward, sporting pendants around his neck and bracelets up his arm. He called me "Shorty". And he said "I want to rock my body now." I did happen to remember a song on my iPhone on my workout playlist entitled "Rock That Body", and I correctly deduced that he wanted to dance to that song in his room. We both danced to it for a few minutes, and I liked watching him really shaking it and spinning on his back on the floor a la 80's breakdancing style. And then he told me "I think I want to dance alone now. You should go and get ready and come back later." He presented me with a ballcap and told me to go find some necklaces. I knew I'd never be able to compete with his coolness, so I retreated to my cave to do grown-up stuff. He watched Shark Tale today. I'd say he was rather heavily influenced by Will Smith. Dennis has got some pretty good moves for a white kid. David and I sure can't groove like that!
After I'd had my fill of Club Dennis, we went outside to play in the mud after it rained. He pretended to be a construction worker and posed for this picture. Never a dull moment around here!
