pool to be

Dennis enjoyed a good bit of water play today. He went to a swim party at a friend's place after church, and after that, we helped Gran set up her new pool (which should be ready to swim in by tomorrow--how exciting!!). He sprayed us liberally with the hose while the pool was filling, so we gave up and climbed in to frolic with him. It was awesome, he said.

When we headed home tonight, he asked me if he could have a Popsicle. We bought a make-your-own kit, and the Popsicle holders have monster faces on them, so he loves them. I told him he could have one but he'd have to take off his white shirt first. He asked if he could keep his pants on, and he said "it's hard to keep clothes clean isn't it? Sometimes you just like to get dirty."

Tonight he read us a bedtime story in our bed. We have taken to covering up the pictures in his books so we know he can actually read some. He just gets smarter every day.
