preschool pool party

This morning we were invited to a pool party with the preschool teachers. Dennis was ecstatic to get to swim in a nice pool, but he was a little sad that there weren't other children to play with there. His teacher from this past year was there, Mrs. Linda, and she was telling us about her upcoming mission trip to a town in Kentucky called Flippin. Dennis seemed absorbed in his swim preparations but apparently heard every word. Tonight as we were driving home from church, he asked "do you know what Flip-na-tucky is?". Since it had been many hours since we heard the story, I didn't remember, and I told him I did not know what it was. He replied "that's the place where Mrs. Linda is going on her trip!".

I had the worst time trying to get him to sleep today (he's probably still up now). When he was supposed to be napping, he came in and said "I just want a little bit of your love, Mommy!" and tonight I got "I just want a little more snuggle time!". He asked me if our house was allergic to monsters and I assured him it was.
