the jazz man

Dennis went to yoga class again this morning, but this time his Daddy took him (and stayed to watch). I hear he wasn't as good this week--this time another girl was misbehaving (shaking her mat, etc), and he joined right in. But he says he had a good time!

Tonight, Dennis and I had movie night. We opened our Netflix of Alice and Wonderland, expecting the animated version but instead getting the newer live action one. He didn't want to watch it, and I was afraid it might scare him (because movies with Johnny Depp scare many people). So I hooked up the Wii to stream a Netflix movie to our television (wow is that convenient!), and we couldn't get Alice in Wonderland so we settled on The Princess and the Frog. He'd seen it 2 years ago (and didn't remember), and I'd never seen it. We both enjoyed it. We unfortunately at all our popcorn before the movie ever started. Dennis seemed to LOVE the New Orleans music in the film. He couldn't stop dancing, couldn't stop his little foot from tapping. And he was so overcome during one part of it that he picked up his plastic flute and marched/boogied around the room playing it at full (shrill) volume. I can't wait to take him to New Orleans!
