Today is our wedding anniversary, and we are celebrating 14 years of marriage. He worked today and came home and cooked supper for me. I made beer bread for him (it is St. Patrick's Day, after all). We didn't go out for a romantic evening--we almost never do--but it was nice to be at home together. Dennis was in a great mood and entertained us with his antics until he went to bed. David and I did spend the evening together, but he was playing his new game and I was watching The Biggest Loser (a show that inspires me very much in my weight loss quest). At least we can say we were in the same room, and we talked some before we went to sleep. What a difference today was from some other anniversaries we've celebrated. The most memorable one was the one we spent two years ago at Brookwood Hospital with a brand new Dennis.
I suppose this ends our string of celebrated March holidays, and I'm a little sad to see the end of it. Some very good friends are celebrating their last anniversary before the kids arrive tomorrow, and we have the first day of spring coming up... And there's Easter next month... Sounds like I can keep the party going!
Thanks to all for the sweet anniversary wishes! And Happy St. Patrick's Day!
