good for something

Dennis is eagerly anticipating Mother's Day. He has been asking me "is it Mother's Day yet?" all day long. He sang me a special Mother's Day song even, and has been freely dispensing hugs all day. I didn't feel all that well--whatever seasonal thing I'm allergic to really gave me a hard time today--and David and Dennis brought me supper in bed, shrimp and a veggie tray, and even had a special cake for me. We had my celebration tonight, as David will be working tomorrow. I do feel cherished, especially since Dennis told me his list of what mommies are good for: "hugging, tickling, help wiping, and reading stories". I sure do love that little guy (and I sure do love the big guy that lives here, too, and takes such good care of us!).
