"Hey, Mom, let's play space!" he announced, arriving in our room with his space helmet and his classroom pointer. I replied, "I'm thinking of going to bed early to get ready for our school orientations tomorrow." He asked, "what's the fun in going to sleep? I think we should play space!". Tomorrow is a big day for both of us: he'll learn all about his new class (though he's been hanging out with Mrs. Nancy on and off for a couple of weeks now, watching her get the room ready and doing some toy and dress-up play), and I will meet all my new students and their parents and show them around our classroom and the preschool. I'm nervous and excited about it, and I'm praying for a good year for the children and myself!
No wildcat sightings today! No word that he (she?) has been caught yet, either. And I am two days away from a perfect gym record (every weekday for 4 weeks!). Gone are the lazy days of summer, for sure. I think it might take us a bit to get readjusted to our new busy-ness!
