Dennis has observed and made careful note of the way we bribe him to do things. We tell him he can do something IF he behaves or cleans something or whatever serves our purpose at the time. I offered him a Toys R Us trip recently in return for taking an early nap, and I asked him if he thought that was a good deal. So yesterday, David was trying to get him to put on his pajamas and go to bed, telling him he'd get a story, and Dennis said "is that your deal, Daddy?". And we find increasingly that he is bargaining with us, say maybe he'd offer "how about TWO stories?" or "how about NO nap but I go to bed early?" and he'll say "what do you think of that deal?". He's quite the negotiator!
We had big fun at the lake today with Gigi, Gran, Pop, Juju, Steve, and Monte. Dennis colored some masterpiece eggs and is gearing up for 2 big days of egg hunting!
