The tests that came back from the doctor's office showed that Dennis is apparently fine. We will keep a watch on his bathroom habits in the near future and hope there are no more bladder issues. We're glad to know everything's okay.
It was a quiet day, lunch out together, errands run, that kind of thing. We were glad that the three of us could be together--we love David's off days! Tonight was movie night, and we chose Megamind. Dennis liked it, of course, and we actually did as well. After it was over, he ran down the hall, changed into his favorite red pajamas, and reappeared. He slid to the middle of the den doorway, crouched in a superhero pose, crossed his arms, and winked at us. We put little Metro Man to bed without incident--he was completely exhausted!
My ego nearly suffered a blow today. I was wearing a fitted t-shirt instead of my usual loose comfy ones, and Dennis reported that I was fat. I said "really? You think Mommy's fat now?" and he pointed to those parts of my anatomy (hint: the ones on my chest) that are indeed composed of fat and said "well, those are fat on you, not like mine; are they supposed to be fat on women?". Nice to know we are raising a true (as his Daddy is fond of saying) "red-blooded American male", but really, how do you answer that. I took my usual cop-out: "God made people in all different shapes and sizes and colors" and he seemed satisfied enough to drop the subject. But we won't be visiting Hooters anytime soon (not that we ever have)!
