I taught Dennis' Sunday School class this morning and quite enjoyed it. I was especially proud when Dennis told the rest of the class "Jesus came to save us from our sins." I was even prouder when he told us tonight that he had learned that particular bit of knowledge because it was in a bible verse that he memorized for his Wednesday night class. Wow! Bible memorization AND comprehension! That's big stuff for such a little guy.

It was a wonderful day, mostly. There were a few disappointments, a few moments that saw either Dennis or me ducking our heads and sporting hurt feelings, but mostly it was wonderful. And now, tired, drained from the day's highs and lows, I'm going to rest and prepare for a busy, busy week, the first in a busy, busy month of soccer and swimming lessons and preschool and church activities. And apparently room cleaning. Dennis is standing here and he just informed me that he would not be giving me any allowance money until I clean my room "and I mean clean it every day, Mom."
