new eating skill

Dennis has been asking us for ice cream many times a day for over a week now, and when I talked to his Gran earlier today, I asked her to bring some with her to the lake when she came back down this afternoon. She did, much to Dennis' delight. I was very impressed that he was able to spoon up and eat the entire bowl of it all by himself. He was just so happy to get it!

His Gigi left this morning after breakfast and he spent the rest of the day asking for her. Every time we passed by the room where she slept, he mentioned her name. He's also been talking about some other relatives--JuJu, Uncle Michael, and Granny--and luckily there are plans to see all of them in the coming months. At supper he asked for Chloe, and then he looked around and realized that she wasn't there and gave us an 'oops' expression and covered his mouth with his hand. It was so unbelievably cute and funny that we all laughed, so he's been covering his mouth with his hand frequently since then to see how we react. What a little ham!
