We spent the afternoon at the lake today and enjoyed a big fish fry for supper tonight. Dennis loves catfish and ate a large portion of what was on my plate. He enjoyed his time with Gigi and Gran and Pop and Grandma and Bob as well. His Gigi brought him a couple of very special toys, a musical caterpillar and a set of Thomas the Train puzzle cards. He had a wonderful time playing with them and telling us the names of all the trains in the set.
We started cataloging his words today and we are close to 250 words that he knows how to say and knows the meaning of. He learns more and more every day. A child his age should know about 50 words, so we are thrilled with his big vocabulary. I am only counting so that I can give the pediatrician an approximate count when we go for his two year visit--I imagine that pretty soon he'll be learning them so fast that I can no longer keep up.
I am trying to publish this over a long range wireless connection in a windstorm. Tough. Can't keep the connection!
