Yesterday it occurred to Dennis that he hadn't been to school for a week, so he asked me when we were going back. I told him it was his fall break and that we were going back the next day (today). Later, I told him it was time to get ready for church, and he said "I don't want to go--I'm on fall break." He went, though, and happily recited this week's memory verse and earned his sticker and a new patch for his vest. The verse is a part of Luke 2:30: "my eyes have seen your salvation." I asked him to say it for Gran today while we were eating lunch together and he started it but then decided to be funny. He said "my eyes have seen...your plate!".
