Dennis used every bit of play and energy in him today. After church he accompanied the big kids on their paintball trip. He was too young to play a game but happily watched and cheered on the guys as they defeated the girls time after time. And he was beyond delighted when the paintball referee let him empty the last gun by shooting it at a target dozes of times. The ref held up Dennis' mask so he could see to shoot. As far as he's concerned, he has officially played paintball.
Tonight he had dinner and imaginative wild play with his cousins. There was much running and giggling and excited screaming going on as they invented game after game. They ended up "surrendering" each other. Not surrendering TO each other but surrendering each other as in "I surrender you...put your hands up!". I'm thinking they didn't completely get the meaning of the word. It was fun to watch, and Dennis fell asleep in the car before we were halfway home from the lake. What a big day!
