unwinding

For a sick kid, he sure had some intense periods of hyperactivity today. It could be the decongestant, I suppose. His mouth was busy every second he wasn't asleep, chattering the day away, reciting character names that he found in his Lego catalog. My ears really got a workout today! He was so bouncy at supper that his Dad told him he needed to unwind. Moments later he was standing in the middle of the kitchen spInning in circles and chanting "unwinding...unwinding".

He asked me about pyramids today and if they were real, so we spent some time learning about the ones in Egypt and looking a pictures of them. He's decided he wants Egypt to be the next country for our international meal. This means we are going to ALL learn together about Egyptian cuisine, because I know nothing about it!
